Darul Uloom Newcastle Upon Tyne offer a variety of courses for the local community.
The Alimiyyah Course is a structured, traditional Islamic scholarship program designed to nurture students in sacred knowledge. It covers key Islamic sciences such as Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Tafsir, Arabic language, and Islamic theology. Through a deep, systematic study guided by qualified scholars, students develop a strong foundation in Deen, preparing them to serve their communities with knowledge, wisdom, and sincerity.
We have separate provisions for students aged 11+ and evening classes for 14+ males. Sisters aged 11+ should refer to Bahr Academy.
Our fulltime Hifz Course offers students the opportunity to memorise the Noble Quran in a focused, nurturing environment. With the guidance of experienced teachers, students develop strong memorisation skills, strengthen their connection to the Quran, and build the discipline and character needed to carry this sacred trust with honour and responsibility.
We have separate provisions for students aged 11+ and 16+ males.
Our Evening Hifzul Quran & Tajweed Classes are designed to help students improve their Qurʾān recitation by learning the correct pronunciation and rules of Tajweed. Taught in a supportive setting by qualified teachers, these classes aim to beautify recitation, strengthen connection with the Quran, and instil a love for reading it properly and confidently.
Course is available for brothers and sisters.
The Sanatayn Course is an intensive two-year Islamic studies program for males (ages 15+) and sisters (ages 16+) covering essential subjects such as Fiqh, Aqeedah, Tafsir, Hadith and Arabic.
